    You pay the USCIS fee directly to the government when you file. These are the current amounts verified against the G-1055:

    Category (c)(8): asylum pending
    $520 by mail or $470 online, plus the Pub. L. 119-21 additional fee of $275 (paid separately). Total: $795 by mail, $745 online.
    Category (c)(9): adjustment of status pending
    It depends on when you filed your I-485: $0 if filed with a fee between 07/30/2007 and 03/31/2024; $260 if filed with a fee on or after 04/01/2024; $520 by mail or $470 online if neither applies.
